Carbon-free events and festivals
EVENTS
During the eco-friendly Les Nuées Ardentes festival, held on a UNESCO World Heritage site in the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes, GCK Energy provided a 100% carbon-free power solution, without generators or grid connection.
In partnership with La Coulisse, an EODev electro-hydrogen generator was coupled with our high-capacity storage system (225 kVA / 285 kWh), ensuring continuous power supply throughout the site (stage, scientific workshops, food trucks, etc.) in complete autonomy.
This installation made it possible to avoid the consumption of fossil fuels and to illustrate in concrete terms how energy innovation and environmental preservation can be combined in cultural events.

Eddy de Pretto, Liam Gallagher, Véronique Sanson… The lineup for the VYV Festival in Dijon was impressive! All that remained was to set up the three stages in the Parc de la Combe à la Serpent and supply them with green electricity. To carry out this mission, the organizers called on the event design agency La Coulisse.
To power part of the off-grid site, La Coulisse relied on our 200 kVA/300 kWh energy storage container, our 12 KVA/20 kWh energy storage rack, and three Frame-Watt® solar roofs from our manufacturing partner Ecosun Innovations. This system enabled the production of 300 kWh and the distribution of 500 kWh of carbon-free energy.

For the past three years, GCK Energy has provided the electric charging infrastructure for the official vehicles of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, one of the world’s largest advertising industry events.
At the port of Cannes, our teams have deployed eight 120 kW DC fast charging stations, as well as all the temporary electrical distribution equipment needed to connect to the port infrastructure.
Our mobile and temporary solutions make it possible to create a customized charging hub in just a few hours, perfectly suited to the specific needs of major events.

40 E-Transits fully charged for six weeks!
In early 2022, Ford Europe invited 1,890 people (journalists, employees, customers) to Catalonia to try out the new E-Transit, a 100% electric utility vehicle. The specifications issued by the organizing agency Facets involved charging the batteries of 40 vehicles every day for six weeks!
GCK Energy deployed six mobile containers (200 kVA/300 kWh) to reinforce the electrical infrastructure of the building in the Logistics Activity Zone of the Port of Barcelona and power 40 chargers (22 kW AC Type 2) also set up by our team.
Green energy for construction sites
CONSTRUCTION SITES
Bouygues Construction Matériel Ile-de-France wanted to offer a self-sufficient solution to supply electricity to a base camp consisting of 70 modules on a construction site in Toulouse.
GCK Energy deployed a 70 kWp PV solution to recharge our 200 kVA / 300 kWh energy container coupled with a traditional generator. The generator’s start-up sequence is controlled by the battery pack according to the state of charge of the batteries.

Mobile charging solutions for construction sites
At the “Move to Zero” event organized by V2V TP in a quarry near Carcassonne, GCK Energy presented its mobile energy storage and charging solutions for 100% electric machines and trucks.
Designed to adapt to all construction site environments, these solutions were used to power Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Trucks equipment in real-world conditions, demonstrating their efficiency and flexibility in off-grid contexts.
This partnership illustrates the shared commitment of GCK Energy, V2V TP, and Volvo to decarbonizing construction sites and accelerating the energy transition in public works.

Electrification of a construction site to reduce carbon footprint and noise pollution
To power an underground construction site located in the heart of a dense urban area, Botte Fondations, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction, chose to replace the diesel generator with a zero-CO2-emission solution.
For four weeks, GCK Energy deployed a 300 kVA/422 kWh battery pack outdoors, connected to the grid and capable of shaving off the power peaks generated by the equipment, which made it possible to power all the foundation workshops while reducing noise and pollution.
The results were tangible, with savings equivalent to 1,450 liters of diesel fuel and a reduction in CO₂ emissions of nearly 5 tons.

MOTORSPORT
Green energy in the middle of the desert
For the Dakar Rally in January 2021, A.S.O., the race organizer, commissioned GCK Energy to supply green energy for three days to 25% of the bivouac set up in NEOM, Saudi Arabia. This operation is part of the #DakarFuture program launched in November 2020 by the A.S.O. to transform its event into a leading technological and environmental platform and thus contribute to the ongoing energy revolution.
GCK Energy rose to the challenge by installing several hundred square meters of solar panels, including its Solar Gem(R) solar roof and its 200 kVA/300 kWh mobile container.

World Rallycross Championship
In 2019, the FIA announced that it would revolutionize the World Rallycross Championship (WRX) by replacing traditional internal combustion engines with electric motors. A consultation was launched to find a solution that would enable the batteries of the 20 race cars to be quickly recharged with green electricity.
GCK Energy was chosen to be the exclusive supplier of electric power solutions and charging infrastructure. As such, our teams set up the necessary resources and equipment for the teams at each event. Between races, the cars recharge by drawing energy from our containers (330 kWh each), e-Truck (200 kWh), and solar roofs.

Combining performance and sustainability to transform motorsport
For two years running, Xiaomi Technology has entrusted GCK Energy with providing 100% carbon-free electric charging for its SU7 Ultra model during testing on the legendary Nürburgring circuit.
Faced with the lack of a grid connection, GCK Energy deployed a customized mobile infrastructure:
This solution ensured reliable and continuous charging between each driving session, with complete autonomy. Thanks to this energy performance, the SU7 Ultra broke a historic record in 2024, completing a lap in 6’46″874 and securing Xiaomi’s place in the history of electric vehicles.

For several editions now, ORECA Events has trusted GCK Energy to provide electric charging for Audi e-tron vehicles during their high-intensity press and customer events to demonstrate the potential of high-performance electric vehicles.
For the 2025 Audi Grand Prix at the Circuit Paul Ricard, GCK Energy deployed four energy containers (300 kVA/422 kWh) and eight 120 kW DC fast charging stations, plus four additional stations in the paddocks. This installation delivered up to 1.2 MW of power and provided 6 MWh of carbon-free energy to recharge 18 Audi S e-tron GTs over three days of intensive driving.
GCK Energy also supported ORECA Events at other Audi events promoting electric mobility, providing daily charging for models such as the Audi Q6 e-tron and the RS e-tron GT performance using our 120 kW DC charger connected directly to the grid and our 100 kVA hydrogen generator connected to our energy container.
These solutions made it possible to power up to 16 vehicles simultaneously and optimize charging times between sessions to ensure a smooth experience for both vehicles and participants, thanks to rapid deployment and total adaptability to charging configurations (AC/DC), regardless of location.

OTHER APPLICATIONS
Cars charged with solar energy…
In order to meet its client’s specifications, the Charles André Group, which specializes in automotive logistics, had to find a solution for charging vehicles arriving by ship and stored at its yard in the port of Le Havre.
In the absence of a grid connection, GCK Energy deployed a complete solution incorporating a 70 kWp foldable solar container that continuously recharges our energy container, which in turn powers five 7.2-22 kW AC containerized charging stations.
This solution, which is still being deployed, allows 50 to 70 vehicles to be recharged daily in a completely off-grid manner.

A medical innovation in the field
GCK Energy contributed to a unique experiment set up by the Hospices Civils de Lyon by providing the energy needed to power a mobile scanner designed to screen for cancer among populations in rural areas.
To meet the mobility and autonomy requirements of this innovative medical device, GCK Energy deployed a 225 kVA / 290 kWh battery solution capable of operating either connected or disconnected from the electricity grid. This provides a concrete response to the challenges of mobile healthcare and isolated areas, with carbon-free, reliable and mobile energy.
